Financing a motorcycle can be both an exciting and daunting process, especially for first-time buyers. But, don’t worry! It is possible to finance a pre-owned motorcycle without breaking the bank. The guide below will teach you how to finance a motorcycle responsibly and get on the road with your dream bike in no time.
At MG Motorsports, we are dedicated to finding the best solution for you, not just making a quick sale. Our team will work with you to understand your financial situation and direct you to a lender that can provide the best interest rate for the life of your loan. We personally work with Road Runner to secure financing for our customers ( especially for those whose credit is below 720). However, the choice of lender is ultimately up to you.
Whether you are a first-time or seasoned buyer, these are the steps we recommend to ensure a smooth financing experience:
STEP ONE
your Budget & Bike
The first step for financing your motorcycle purchase is to set your budget and then choose the ideal motorcycle you want to shoot for within that budget. Think through your budget on realistic terms of what you could handle for monthly payments and how long you plan to make payments, then choose a motorcycle that fits reasonably within those parameters.
STEP TWO
APPLY FOR A LOAN
Once you have a ballpark idea for payments you can handle and the type of motorcycle you’re going for, you can start talking to lenders. And while we know there are tons of lenders to source a loan from, we prefer to direct our customers to our in house solution through our partnership with Road Runner (for scores below 720). We trust them to offer loans with the buyer’s best interest at heart and have seen them routinely provide the most competitive rates to our customers. However, no matter who you go to for lending in the end, the goal is to come away pre-approved for a loan.
STEP THREE
GET IN TOUCH
Once you’ve gotten pre-approved for a loan, you’re ready to jump into serious talks with a dealership. At MG Motorsports, if you’ve already applied for a loan through Road Runner (using the form linked by the button at the top of this page) for a bike in our inventory – you’re just about set. We’ll be notified by the lender as soon as you’re approved and reach out to you to finalize the paperwork and get you on the road. If you’ve already been approved by another lender, reach out and let us know what bike you’re interested in and we’ll streamline the process from there!
